Environmental pollution is contamination of air, water and land from man-made waste. Pollution leads to depletion of the ozone layer, global warming and climate change. Air pollution is the release of chemicals and particles into the atmosphere. Water pollution includes surface runoff, leakage into groundwater, liquid spills, wastewater discharge and littering. If toxins are spilled on the ground or if an underground storage tank leaks, soil can become contaminated. Well known contaminants include herbicides and pesticides. Toxic waste is waste material, often in chemical form, which pollutes the natural environment and contaminates groundwater.

Disaster

Floods are caused by a variety of factors, both natural and man-made. Some obvious causes of floods are heavy rains, melting snow and ice, and frequent storms within a short time duration. The common practice of humans to build homes and towns near rivers and other bodies of water (i.e., within natural floodplains) has contributed to the disastrous consequences of floods. In fact, floods have historically killed more people than any other form of natural disaster. Because of this fact, humans have attempted to manage floods using a variety of methods with varying degrees of success.

    A tonight in rainy,was a terrifying for me. It about was 00:01 am. I was sleeping to very happy. Suddenly,I must be shocked and open eye when I felt that had some thing was walking on my right hand But I dered not turn on the right because I was afraid. A few minutes later, It was bit on light hand. I hurried up turn on the light. I must shocked again when I saw a centipede! Shortly after I called father and mother. Finally my father and mother took me to the hospital.
